I’m not going to lie, this year has been ROUGH. I started a business I had no intention of starting so soon, took every client that came my way, ended up booked to the max and still struggling to pay my bills because I accepted any paying client and wanted to help so many people, lost friends for being so absorbed in my business, gained weight for not taking care of myself, and worked 100 hour weeks to try to keep up with it all. And what happened? I maxed out and fell into the most intense stage of burn out I could have ever imagined – and no one knew about it. I did all of this while keeping a smile on my face, pretending everything was okay, that I was okay. I was determined to show everyone I was better than this and that everything I was doing was working out beautifully – which was even more exhausting.
Somewhere along the line, I realized being an entrepreneur SHOULD NOT be like this, and then I realized something even more amazing: it doesn’t have to be.
I started Gem Nation – to give more affordable resources to businesses that needed help, but now, it is so much more than that. This program is my strength, my struggles, the lessons I’ve learned, the connections I’ve made, the tools that have inspired me, and most importantly, it’s filled with my ambition and determination to never give up.
I’ve been frustrated with slow, but steady, growth, trying so hard to push and promote the program, bring on new members, and sell it’s benefits that I forgot the power behind telling my story and why I developed this in the first place.
This isn’t another promotional push. This is me being real with you hoping that even just one business owner will take away something from this ramble. My advice to you is to always keep going. No matter what. Never give up on something you know in your heart has the passion and potential to be successful. That being said, stay aware and intentional in everything that you do. When something isn’t working, take the time to acknowledge the problem and don’t change your dream, just change your approach. Sometimes, you have to try 20 different approaches before something works. Don’t get stuck in the mindset that you need to give things time to work – that’s BS. Figure what is going to work for you right now and curate a plan of actions to make it happen, just be strategic about it.
Being a member of the program has so much value because you have access to me and everything I’ve been through, and everything I’ve learned from each person I’ve worked with. AND you have access to all of the other members to learn from and flourish with each other. I learn so much each day from connecting with everyone that’s already a part of this. The other important component is that your membership does not just focus on your business, it’s about YOU, and keeping you as the mastermind behind your business happy, healthy, inspired, and nourished. We became entrepreneurs to have the life we dreamed of. This journey isn’t about creating your dream business, it’s about creating your dream LIFE.
I know that this is something you need because it’s something that I needed (and more often than not still need). Give it a try, you have nothing to lose. I have so much to share and the passion to help you make it on your journey. I look forward to growing with you
