Gorgeous Getaways

While in the midst of planning Pretty Living PR’s Summer Soiree: Pretty in Paradise, lately I’ve noticed vacation has been on my mind! So, to take a virtual getaway, I have given myself a break from my emails, phone calls, press pitches, and social media promoting to spend some time looking back at my favorite paradise spots to share with you!

While hesitant because I didn’t think of Peurto Rico as a tropical getaway initially, to my surprise, it was the vacation destination I ended up loving the most out of all the trips I have taken. I was shocked by how much there was to do there.

We swam in waterfalls, hiked in the rain forest, visited the Bacardi factory, kayaked in the Bioluminescent Bay of Vieques Island, walked (and shopped) around historical Old San Juan, and spent lots of time on the beach.

My personal favorites though were starting every morning off with yoga in the sand by the ocean, and exploring the San Cristobal Castle (picture above)! Plus, there were huge lizards running around everywhere!

2) The Bahamas

Ever since I can remember, one of my lifelong dreams was to swim with dolphins. So, when my boyfriend and I decided to go to the Bahamas on spring break a few years ago, I booked a roughly $450, 30-minute swim in Dolphin Cay at the Atlantis resort even before booking our flights and hotel room. While the experience came at quite the high price, it was so much fun and I finally had my dream come true!

In addition to my dolphin encounter, I loved the laid back style of life on the islands. It was the perfect remedy to let go of my typical, fast paced, fully booked schedule!

3) Aruba

If you are looking for the classic tropical escape, Aruba is the place to go! Full of sunny skies, crystal clear water, white sandy beaches and friendly locals, I truly felt like it lived up to the motto “one happy place.” Plus, there were lots of water activities, shopping, nightlife, and fruity cocktails of course!

How can you not want to jump right into that water?!
