It’s Okay to be a Little Clueless

For my skimmers, here’s what you’ll find in this post: one (Clueless inspired) look + one life lesson. Featuring heels so comfortable they’ll keep you on your feet and an adorably affordable handbag, learn why you need to stop hoarding information and start embracing your own cluelessness.  The Look: UKIES Paloma Heeled Loafer ($279) // Black/Wine Python Top Handle Mini Crossbody from 88 Handbags // Coachella Rose Stainless Steel Watch from Escape Watches ($195) // Bryant Park Stud Pierced Earrings ($45) and Union Square Wide Stretch Bracelet ($95) from Carolee Jewelry // Express Gray Pleated Skirt (similar from Kate Spade – $198) // Similar Bow Blouse from ASOS (ON SALE – $36) // Styled by Christina Imberlina The Lesson: You don’t get very far by knowing everything, because knowledge isn’t what leads to progress; it’s experience that does. Knowledge comes from learning. Wisdom, on the other hand, comes from experience. I know, I know. Being clueless feels uncomfortable. That’s why we like to

Once a Ballerina, Always a Ballerina

The Look: Custom Tidal Cool tutu // SerenDipity Boutique Black Long Sleeve Romper // Amazfit Activity Tracker ($80) // Ella+Mila “Bags are Packed” Nail Polish ($10.50) // Carolee Jewelry Necklace // Aldo Shoes (Similar from Nine West – $50 ON SALE) // Wristlet (c/o my Second Gem in Command, Alexandra Barone) // Styled by Christina Imberlina The Lesson: Ever since I was a little girl, all I ever wanted to do with my life was dance. My teacher acknowledging my strength and giving my mom permission to buy my first pair of point shoes was one of the most exciting days of my life (along with that one time I met my idol, Carrie Underwood). I had dreamed of becoming a principle dancer, hoping someday to be cast as the Sugar Plum Fairy. Sure I’d spend my life prone to injuries, living off a negligible salary, but it would be worth it. Nothing beat the rush of being on stage.

Fashion Friday: Situationally Savvy

The Look: Monaco Place Tweed Leggings c/o Neeshe New York ($145.00), Similar Top from ModCloth ($26.99), Midi Rings c/o Prickly Hearts ($6.00-$16.00), Crossbody c/o Carolee Jewelry (similar from Gigi New York – $175.00), Cuff c/o Crash Jewelry ($137.00), Steve Madden Shoes (similar from Chinese Laundry – $69.95) I had so much fun hitting the city streets to shoot this look with my fab photog Kate Stutz! Plus, it was a second chance to style my beloved Neeshe New York leggings (that are so thick and luxurious that they definitely qualify as pants). In contrast to the more relaxed look before, this time I paired them with this feminine ruffle top that I’ve, no joke, had since high school. I love it so much and it goes with my jewel toned branding, so I can never give it up! And because I know you’re swooning over these adorable, dainty midi rings, they are from Prickly Hearts, who I was thrilled to collaborate with! The

Some Things Are Just Mint to Be

Like crochet sleeve dresses. I love the 70’s bell sleeve meets wanna-be Coachella boho vibe of this dress. The large keyhole in the back is just perfect! You’re going to hate me for this, but it’s from last Summer’s lineup at Francesca’s and there is no evidence of this color on the site anymore (but there is a black one on sale for $14.98). I could twirl around in these beautiful sleeves for the rest of my life. I’m also obsessed with the Carolee Jewelry in this post. The earrings ($50) are so very versatile and perfect for everything from bridesmaid accessories and a romantic night out to adding a dash of pretty polishing to any look. The collar necklace ($95 on sale for $47.50) falls under the colorful pendants accessory category, which are a must-have resort essential for the season. PS – I know there are wrinkles in my dress. I considered

How to Wear a Blanket Scarf

This may very well be my favorite trend for fall. It’s so comfy. Like how many opportunities do you really get to practically wear a blanket around you in public? You might be expecting some elaborate, step-by-step tutorial on wearing a blanket scarf but that’s not even necessary to rock this trend. Literally all you have to do is throw it on and you’re good to go! Don’t over think your black scarf styling! This is The Real Deal Zaza Blanket Scarf in Beige ($26) from Kiki La Rue! For this laid back, fall look, I paired my blanket scarf over the Convertible Versatile Maxi Dress from Hipknoties ($74.99) in Hunter Green. Hipknoties are such a cool concept! Each piece is a one-size-fits-all multi-way convertible dress that flatters all women. Each garment can be styled 30 ways! Not only is it convenient to have so many options, but it’s fun to wear! It’s
