I walk into a room comfortable in my own skin. My posture gets a little straighter; my smile a little brighter. I can look you in the eye and know who I am; shake your hand and tell you my story. I am Ludavia. I stand tall. I can hold 32 pounds in one arm, 15 in the other with a 10 pound bag slung across my shoulders, and 6 grocery bags balancing on my fingers… and still I am able to open a door. Strangers, I see you staring at me with your jaws hitting the floor. Thank you for the admiration, but I’d rather you offer a hand. I may be strong, but, “Hey, help a girl out.”. I am Ludavia. I am strong. When the moment calls, I can climb a mountain even if I feel defeated. I can endure great pain and find the positive within
I know some of you are capitalizing on every minute of your weekend to cross things off your to-do list like a boss. So, I’m asking you to stop for just a few moments and ask yourself an important question: Is your business REALLY working for you? Sure, you might have your full load of clients, customers are buying your product left and right, profits are increasing, and you have more people than ever reaching out to you about collaborating, so everything’s great right? But what price are you paying to attain this standard measurement of success? Being an entrepreneur is rough, like really really rough. Are you working 24/7? Do you dreamstorm (this is where you have dreams about your clients because your mind literally never ever shuts off)? Are you neglecting your friends and family because your business takes up every ounce of your time and not to mention your energy? I

For most women, their wedding days are the most magical and enchanted days of their lives. In order to make sure that the big day runs smoothly, however, TONS of planning is involved. On top of all the extensive planning, brides have the biggest decision of all to make: choosing the perfect wedding dress. Are you looking for a vintage lacey number, or a silky mermaid gown? Sparkly details, or major pouf? And once you figure that out and find a dress you love, will it fit into your budget? Thankfully for brides-to-be, Jessica Berriman and her hubby-to-be Bruce Coane have created a solution to make prepping for weddings a lot easier. “We want our brides to be able to focus on other wedding details and ultimately, have a fulfilling wedding day.
When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a mermaid. This sounds like a silly statement, but I’m sure I’m not the only one. I grew up in the 90s. The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan were my absolute favorite flicks, and that’s because I was obsessed with the mermaids. No joke, my parents have dozens of photos of me when I was a kid, sitting on the slide of our plastic kiddie pool, pretending to be a majestic mermaid on a rock. Even today, the mermaid documentaries fascinate me. A wave of nostalgia sweeps over me whenever mermaids are involved, so needless to say, when I stumbled upon the Philippine Mermaid Swimming Academy on Facebook, I had to find out more! PMSA is exactly what it sounds like – a mermaid swimming school. Founders Normeth Preglo, Anamie Saenz, and Franziska Limmer came up with this brilliant concept.
What’s worse than the annoying clicking sound of high heels against a hard floor? Scratching and damaging those precious heels in the process of walking! A scuffed Jimmy Choo is a sad Jimmy Choo, and it’s a glum fact of life that even our most expensive heels may only make it through a few wears before they become too rough, uneven, and uncomfortable to survive another day in the life of a busy woman. Thankfully, the shoe fairy has given us Nicole Greener, who has come up with a simple, innovative solution to this problem. After educating herself on the rubber and plastic injection molding industry, she developed Clickless, a line of heel-silencing protective caps that prevent scratching and scuffing while cushioning your step. And just like that, we no longer have to subject our heels to the tortures of carrying us around all day! KA – What are Clickless’s
