He Said, She Said: Joggers for a Lazy Day

In this post: We’re so excited to share our first “He Said, She Said” fashion post! Here you’ll find how both of us (Shaun & Allyn) are styling joggers for fall and why you need at least a few pairs of them. This post contains shoppable affiliate links which means we may make a small commission if you click on or purchase from them, but we really do love these clothes! He Said… His Look: American Eagle jogger ($50) // American Eagle color block hoodie ($40) // Ugg Colin Sneaker (ON SALE RIGHT NOW – $84) and there’s a navy option, too! Let me start by saying that I absolutely, 100% despise winter.  Autumn… meh.  It can be kinda cool at times, but I can typically never truly enjoy it for reasons I’m about to mention. Every single year I get major winter depression, and it totally cramps my style.  I

Tiny Reminders for My Mental Health

In this post: How a pair of chic tassel earrings kept my mental health in check at New York Fashion Week.  The Look: [sp] Tassel Earrings from Trumpet + Tassel // Velvet dress from ZARA ($20) // similar Nine West shoes ($76) // Styled by + outfit photos: Christina Stein Imberlina // *this post contains affiliate links* There’s a few reasons why I just adore this look. Of course, it fits right in with the jewel tone palette that I love to work with throughout my life. But, these tassel earrings became really special to me as I was wearing them. I wore this outfit on the last day of New York Fashion Week (which ended up being my favorite!). For me, the last day I’m in NYC always symbolizes two things – 1) that I get to come home and knock out my blog posts on all the exciting things I did and wore

From Summer to Fall

In this post: As inspiration for your fall outfits, I’m showing you how I turned the dress I lived in this summer into a fall look. 2 Things That Helped Me Find Self-Care and Healing at New York Fashion Week

What’s in this post: A fashionable, energy healing statement necklace along with skincare products formulated especially for travel that both helped me take better care of myself this time around at New York Fashion Week.  The Look: [sp] Blue Raw Cut Hemimorphite Necklace from Joree & Jane // Similar Little Black Dress (ON SALE – $93.00) // Missguided Thigh High Boots ($114.00) // [sp] Activa Wood Sunglasses from Public Sunglasses ($79.00) // [c/o] Mimi Cork Vegan Teal/Croc Cross Body from Rok Cork ($178.00) // Styled by: Christina Stein Imberlina Simply put, healing is “the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again”. It’s normally an afterthought. We scrape our knee and then need a bandaid. We misstep when running and then need time for our muscle to heal before going back at it again. We get back from a week of traveling and then need a few days to recover. But is that the way we should be doing it? There are

How Do You Carry Your Story?

For my skimmers, here’s what you’ll find in this post: one look + one life lesson. This week’s is on showing your story off in style rather than letting past baggage burden you.  The Look: Odette Mini Bag from Daylin Skye Designs ($88 – use code GEMBENEFITS40 for 40% OFF!!), Pink Blazer (similar from Nordstrom – $74), Romper (similar from Shoptiques – $60), Recycled Guitar String Earrings from Restrung Jewelry ($38) The Lesson: Take a moment to write out the steps of your story (think bullet points rather than a novel). Use mine here as an example. Think about all the steps (the good and the bad) that had to happen to get you to where you are right now, on this path of following your dreams (because if you’re here reading this, chances are you’re a go getter, you want big things for yourself, and you plan to get them). You might

Creating Margins in a Floral Romper

The Look: Express Romper (Similar from Forever 21 – $19.50), Aldo Shoes (ON SALE – $45.00), Bloom Jewelry Earrings ($113.00), Francesca’s Crossbody (similar from Kate Spade – $228.00) Who doesn’t love a romper? It’s all the fun, flirtiness of a skirt or dress without having to worry about your lady bits showing! In fact, I love them so much that I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to rompers =). This one from Express is great because the v-neckline and removable sash create such a flattering silhouette. Plus, POCKETS!!! The floral print is out of stock, but there’s a pretty cobalt blue and also a rich teal option (at $29.95, I’m probably going to go grab this color immediately after I post this =X)! I paired the romper with Aldo’s FELTRONE block heel ($45.00 – 50% off right now!) for a more dressy look, but it will go just as perfectly with your favorite flat sandal (loving
