The Look: Custom Tidal Cool tutu // SerenDipity Boutique Black Long Sleeve Romper // Amazfit Activity Tracker ($80) // Ella+Mila “Bags are Packed” Nail Polish ($10.50) // Carolee Jewelry Necklace // Aldo Shoes (Similar from Nine West – $50 ON SALE) // Wristlet (c/o my Second Gem in Command, Alexandra Barone) // Styled by Christina Imberlina The Lesson: Ever since I was a little girl, all I ever wanted to do with my life was dance. I had dreamed of becoming a principle dancer, hoping someday to be cast as the Sugar Plum Fairy. Sure I’d spend my life prone to injuries, living off a negligible salary, but it would be worth it. Nothing beat the rush of being on stage.

Tidal Cool Spring/Summer 2016: A Fusion of Fashion, Funk, and Freedom

A few weekends ago, the Gem team took their talents to Cleveland, OH with Allyn modeling and myself (Alexandra Barone) photographing for the release of the Tidal Cool SS16 collection. Fashion might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Rock n’ Roll capital of the World, but on this night there were plenty of vibrant fabrics, daring hairstyles and exotic beauty. The fashion show, benefitting the Cornucopia Inc/Nature’s Bin job training program for adults with disabilities, took place at Lake Affects Studio which was a cool, artistic and rustic place with a full bar, jewelry and makeup stands all hosted by Cleveland Bazaar. The designer, Andrea Howell, created the Tidal Cool Spring/Summer 2016 Collection Cuba Libre: A Fusion of Fashion, Funk, and Freedom, and that is exactly what it was. Taking a peek behind the scenes one could immediately get a feel for who the artist was and her

[Obsessions] Summer Starters

New Column!  I’m constantly sorting through magazines, social media, blogs and more to search for one-of-a-kind brands and products to follow, so I figured I’d start making a blog post each week about my findings! This week is dedicated to a few items you’ll be drooling over to kick-off summer:

MODEL: Couture Gowns, Big Hair & Abandoned Apartments

An inside look on what you don’t know about photo shoots: Alarm goes off. It’s 4:00am. (Hits Snooze). 4:15am. There’s the alarm again. Ugh. (rolls out of bed). It’s a Thursday morning. Still pitch black outside by the way. I throw on an oversized pink blouse, leggings, and boots – trying to look at least half put together. 5:00am and we hit the road. It’s off to Fort Wayne, Indiana (normally a 5 hour drive) for a photo shoot with Willyum Photography. Big shout out to Shaun Novak for being my road trip buddy for the day (side note – he makes music and has an absolutely phenomenal voice that you should check out here). Anyways, of course this is a shoot for my all time favorite fashion designer, Andrea Howell of Tidal Cool Creations. I mean, I don’t just take day trips like this for anyone! When you model for TCC,
